Student Parking

Parking Options for Students
Daily-choice parking can be a more affordable alternative to purchasing monthly or semester parking. The daily-choice parking rate will be $4.75 per day (including fees) in four parking areas, Parking Structure 3, Parking Structure 4, Parking Lot 17/17A/17B, and Parking Lot 15. This rate is available exclusively through the PayByPhone app/website.
Note: you cannot use this rate to park outside of P3, P4, P15, or P17 areas and it is not valid in any Faculty-Staff designated areas. Vehicles that pay in these zones but park outside of the areas are subject to citation. Time restrictions in EV charging areas still apply.
Student accounts will be automatically created via imports. Please do not create a guest account. Once your account is activated, you'll be able to login using your SDSU email login credentials.
Day (valid 5am - 2am) and 24-hour permits are available for purchase through the Transportation Portal for eligible students. Visit the Guides webpage to learn how to purchase a permit or link your vehicle(s).
First-year, on-campus residents will not be permitted to bring a car their first year of study at SDSU. More information is available on the First-Year On-Campus Resident Parking Policy website.

Parking Services collaborates with other departments on campus regarding permits under the VA/DoR benefit or other third-party organizations. Permits approved by the VA/DoR or other third-party organizations must be re-approved every semester. Requests must be submitted for consideration prior to the start of each semester. If you require a parking permit to be billed using your VA or DoR benefit, please contact [email protected]. While your request is under review or waiting for approval, a permit is still required if you are parked on campus. Hourly and daily permits can be purchased using one of the pay stations or the PayByPhone app. Daily, weekly or monthly permits can be purchased through the transportation portal.
