Student Parking

Parking Options for Students
Daily-choice parking can be a more affordable alternative to purchasing monthly or semester parking. The daily-choice parking rate is $4.25 per day (including fees) in four parking areas, Parking Structure 3, Parking Structure 4, Parking Lots 17/17A/17B, and Parking Lot 15. This rate is available exclusively through the PayByPhone app/website.
Note: you cannot use this rate to park outside of Parking Structure 3, Parking Structure 4, Parking Lot 15, or Parking Lot 17/17A/17B areas and it is not valid in any Faculty-Staff designated areas. Vehicles that pay in these zones but park outside of the areas are subject to citation; you must remain parked in the specific garage/lot you paid for. Time restrictions in EV charging areas apply.
Student accounts will be automatically created in the Transportation Portal prior to the start of the first semester. Please do not create a guest account. Log in using your SDSU email credentials.
Day-time permits (valid 5am - 2am) and 24-hour permits are available for purchase through the Transportation Portal for eligible students. Review our Parking Rules & Regulations prior to purchasing a permit and parking on campus. Visit the Guides webpage to learn how to purchase a permit or link your vehicle(s).

For 24-hour parking permits in Parking Structure 7 and Parking Structure 12, students can apply online for a waiver. Transportation Services collaborates with other departments on campus regarding permits under the VA/DoR benefit or other third-party organizations. Permits approved by the VA/DoR or other third-party organizations must be re-approved every semester. Requests must be submitted for consideration prior to the start of each semester. If you require a parking permit to be billed using your VA or DoR benefit, please contact [email protected]. While your request is under review or waiting for approval, a permit is still required if you are parked at SDSU. Hourly and daily permits can be purchased through the PayByPhone app or through Offstreet. Daily, weekly or monthly permits can be purchased through the Transportation Portal.
